Hobby Zone – Some 40K on the Horizon
It has been a good week for hobby, finishing the Castellax for my ongoing Mechanicum commission I am really excited about how this army will look on completion. I have also made some headway into the Abeyant conversion for the same project though that is involving waiting on drying green stuff.
My Age of Sigmar forces have fallen by the wayside a little but are in a good place to drop I and out of when the mood hits. The Nurgle models are very nice and I enjoy painting them as there is a lot of freedom to use a fairly wide colour palette.
Over the next few days I am hoping to have a little more regular content as we start to showcase some army progress. My gaming group has been looking to start playing some 8th Edition 40k as the new models and rules seem really interesting. As such we have decided to do a Tale of Four gamers style campaign to encourage us all to get some models painted and play some games. I will be doing a post outlining the different forces people have chosen and the basic rules we will be using to encourage us to complete our objectives.
I also have a little renewed energy for my own Mechanicum army and have been building some of the other units I had still to assemble. I also got some base coats down on my Warhound, still a long way to go with this one but for now it’s just nice to feel I have made some progress.
Next week I am going to Warhammer World for a game against the Deathguard army I painted so if there is some interest I may do a battle report but more importantly if anyone is in the area and wants to talk toy soldiers and painting then please just drop me a message.
